Wanted Kansas suspect caught transporting meth

SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspect on drug allegations after a traffic stop.

Just after 11p.m. August 3, a deputy with the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a red 2003 Dodge Dakota with an expired license plate near SW Topeka Boulevard and SE 45th Street with an expired license plate, according to Deputy Abigail Christian.

During the investigation, the deputy located illegal narcotics.

The driver, Crystle T. Moten, 37, of Topeka, had a misdemeanor warrant for her arrest. Moten was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections (SNDOC) for her warrant and on requested charges of  possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle with an expired tag and no vehicle liability insurance.

The passenger, Jeff D. Pressgrove, 55, of Topeka, was arrested, booked into the SNDOC and on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
