More than $16,000 raised to help the Food Pantry of Geary County

A campaign by Eagle Radio (107/9 FM - 1420 KJCK) and local donors to support the Food Pantry of Geary County has resulted in $16,253 to help fill the shelves with food. Margaret Kilpatrick, President of the Board of Directors for the Pantry, was presented with the checks from the fundraising effort by  Jason Schlitz, General Manager for Eagle in Junction City and Manhattan.

Kilpatrick stated, "These funds will help feed the many families in Junction City that need food. That's our goal is to try to feed our hungry." Kiipatrick added the amount of funds received will help the Food Pantry very much.

107.9 FM / 1420 KJCK AM, the Central National Bank and the Schmidt Foundation all worked to support the fundraising. The Schmidt Foundation donated $5,000 in matching funds toward the total raised.
