SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a series of burglaries and have made an arrest.
Just before 8p.m. Monday, officers were dispatched to the 900 Block of S Kansas Avenue in Topeka, after multiple burglaries were discovered at the Cyrus Hotel, according to Police Lt. Donna Eubanks.
Through investigation a suspect was developed and was transported to the law enforcement center to be interviewed.
As a result of the investigation, Justin Byron-Edgar Sims, 21 years of age was booked into Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges that include 4 counts of Burglary and Theft > 1, 500 < 25,000 (3 counts)Theft < 1,000, according to Eubanks.
