SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect after an altercation at a grocery store.
Just before 9p.m. Wednesday, police responded to a disturbance at the Dillions in the 3200 block of South Seneca in Wichita, according to Officer Charley Davidson.
Upon arrival, officers contacted private security and Dillon’s employees, who reported a 37-year-old James Hirsh of Wichita entered the business and got into a disturbance with an employee regarding Chick-Fil-A sauce being on sale.
Hirsh was asked to calm down or leave the store when he began throwing punches. Private security detained Hirsh until he calmed down. Hirsh then threatened staff, exited the store, and got into his car. He drove his vehicle toward the entrance doors of the business, where staff were standing before leaving.
Police arrested him on requested charges of aggravated assault and one count of aggravated criminal threat.
There were no injuries in this case. It will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office.
