Police investigating 3 weekend homicides in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating three weekend shooting deaths in Kansas City.

Around 5:30.m. Saturday, police officers responded to a residence in 7300 block of Park Road, according to Sheriff Daryl Forte'.

First responders found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Steven Mentzer, 29, was pronounced dead at the scene and another male victim was transported to hospital.  Police have not reported an arrest or additional details.

At 4:30a.m. Sunday, police responded to a shooting in the 4800 block of Independence Avenue in Kansas City, according to Forte

First responders found a man dead in a parking lot and another man located inside business suffering from gunshot trauma. He was pronounced dead at a hospital, according to Forte'.  The men who died are identified as  34-year-old Reginald McGee and  37-year-old Nicholas Lewis, according to KCPD.

Police have not reported additional details.
