Police: Kan. man dumped marijuana in his front yard

SALINE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas felon on drug charges after an arrest.

On Wednesday, police responded to report of an alleged domestic disturbance in the 600 Block of South Third in Salina, according to Police  Lt. James Feldman.

 While investigating the domestic disturbance, officers located marijuana that Devin D. Johnson, 24, of Salina, had allegedly discarded in the front yard prior to their arrival.

Police arrested Johnson. A subsequent search warrant was served at the residence and additional marijuana and narcotic pills were located, including approximately 40 grams of marijuana and more than 10 narcotic pills, according to Feldman.

Two children under the age of 11 were in the residence at the time of the incident.

Johnson is being held on requested charges of Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within a 1000 feet of a school, Possession of narcotic pills with intent to distribute within a 1000 feet of a school, Felony possession of drug paraphernalia, Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, Two counts of child endangerment, Two counts of Kansas Tax Stamp violations
