Police find Kan. teen in street with multiple gunshot wounds

SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a shooting that sent a teen to the hospital.

Just after 7:00 pm on Thursday, police responded to a shooting call in the 1600 block of North Madison, according to officer Charley Davidson.

Upon arrival, they located a 16-year-old boy in the street with multiple gunshot wounds. EMS transported him to an area hospital in serious condition.

Officers located several shell casings in the area and a vehicle with damage from a bullet strike. Witnesses reported seeing a dark-colored Dodge Charger in the area at the time of the incident.

Police had not reported an arrest late Thursday afternoon or provided an update on the teen's condition.
