
SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas school paraeducator for alleged sex crimes involving a student.
On Tuesday, police arrested 32-year-old Daniel Alonzo-Hernandez of Wichita, according to the Sedgwick County booking report. He is accused unlawful sexual relations; teacher with student.
On Tuesday a former Wichita high school student reported that as a 17-year-old she was involved in a consensual sexual relationship with a 32-year-old para-educator later identified as Alonzo-Hernandez, according to Officer Trevor Macy. Police arrested and booked him on a requested charge involving sex with the student. He is no longer in custody.

Alonzo-Hernandez is a paraeducator at Wichita South High School, according to online records and is on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation, according to USD 259.
Police will present the case to the Sedgwick County District Attorney.
