
SALINE COUNTY —Authorities say a pickup reported stole in Salina was found burning west of town on Friday night.
Just before 10:30p.m., deputies and firefighters from Rural Fire District No. 3 were sent to the 400 block of South Muir Road for the report of a vehicle on fire. A resident who lived nearby noticed the fire while he was on his way home and notified authorities, according to Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan.
When emergency personnel arrived, they found a 2012 Dodge pickup valued at $25,000 fully engulfed in flames.
According to Soldan, the pickup was last seen at 7 a.m. Friday when it was parked in a lot in the 1500 block of West North Street.
