RCPD asks for help in gun theft investigation

RILEY COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a burglary and asking the public for information in the case.

On Thursday officers filed a report for theft and criminal damage to property in the 1400 block of Waterford Place in Manhattan.

A 32-year-old man reported an unknown heavy-set white male suspect driving a light-colored Nissan Frontier stole a Sig Sauer P365 handgun, a blue camo Vedder holster, and Ray-Ban sunglasses from his vehicle damaging a window in the process at approximately 5 a.m. Thursday, according to the Riley County Police Department Report.

The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,230.00.
