SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a shooting and working to learn what prompted it.
Just after 4 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to a shooting call in the 2100 block of North Ash in Wichita, according to Officer Charley Davidson.. A calling party advised of a vehicle also leaving the area.
Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle that left at 17th and Minneapolis. When the officers stopped the vehicle, they contacted a 37-year-old man who had been shot. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators are currently working to determine the circumstances of what occurred. A lack of all cooperation in this investigation has prevented police from learning details of this case, according to Davidson.
