There were three seats up for election on the Grandview Plaza City Council this month. Honey Grant has finished as the top vote getter with 22 votes. Three candidates have tied for the remaining two seats on the Council including Ronald Woods, George Edmonson and Gary Sacher with 6 votes apiece.
According to County Clerk Rebecca Nordyke, the three-way tie will be broken by the drawing of lots at 10 a.m. Monday at the Geary County Commission meeting.
The commission conducted the final canvass of the votes on Friday. All other election race outcomes remained the same. A total of 2,563 votes were cast on Nov. 5th in Geary County, or 16.82% of the registered voters.
