The Union Pacific historic Big Boy has returned to the rails and on Wednesday made a stop in Junction City near the 8th Street crossing. The Big Boy steam locomotive No. 4014 is touring the Union Pacific system throughout this year to commemorate the transcontinental railroad's 150th anniversary.
A few hundred people turned out to view Big Boy. Parking was full in that east side Junction City area during the time the steam locomotive was present.
