UPDATE:
Roads in the area of Chapman Elementary School are now open.
Authorities had responded to a residence for a police situation during the overnight hours. Barricades had been set up. Chapman police said they were providing traffic control support for the ongoing law enforcement situation on Nicholson. Nicholson was closed from 7th / Oak Hill to Irish, and Irish Street from the Nicholson intersection to St. Patrick. No injuries were reported.
Chapman Elementary School was closed today.

There will be no classes at Chapman Elementary School on Thursday ( Nov. 21 ). A check with the school district revealed the cancellation is due to a police situation at a nearby house. No injuries have been reported.
All other schools in USD 473 will be in session on Thursday.
