Junction City Middle School wrestling had a successful weekend

Junction City Middle School Wrestling competed in the Topeka Seaman Invitational Friday, taking 2nd place behind Manhattan Anthony. Out of 19 wrestlers, 10 took home medals.


Lauren Davis of Junction City Middle School reported that 4th place finishers for the Wildcats were Ty Raulston at 80 lbs, Lincoln Upham at 100 lbs, Tony Smith at 120 lbs, Jayden Palmer at 134 lbs, and Keiondre Wilcox at 165 lbs. Cooper Bogenhagen finished 2nd in the 141 lb weight class. Tournament champions were Zeke Witt at 80 lbs, Jaime Villanueva at 127 lbs, Griffin Bohanan at 148 lbs, and Beau Peterson at 180 lbs. 


Saturday, JCMS wrestled in a tournament in Clay Center. The Wildcats finished 3rd overall. Teams scores were 79-28 vs McPherson, 48-57 vs Hays, 71-40 vs team x (combination of Junior Varsity wrestlers, 81-30 vs Salina South, and 72-36 vs Holton.
