Five Blue Jays are named 1st Team and Randall Zimmerman Coach of the Year

The 2019 Centennial League All-League Football selections have been announced. Junction City Blue Jay head coach Randall Zimmerman has been named the Coach of the Year.


Five Blue Jay players received 1st team recognition including quarterback Andrew Khoury, running back Russell Wilkey, receiver Quavez Humphreys, defensive lineman Terrance Crumpton and returner Joel Nieves.


All-League second team recognition went to center Caleb Miller, running back D.J. Giddens and receiver Ethan Alcorn plus linebackers Albert Caba and Kazerick Smith.


Receiving honorable mention from Junction City were linebacker Sadiki Smith, defensive backs Zane Thornton and Javon George, and Andrew Khoury as a punter.


The Blue Jays finished the season with a final record of 8-3 and advanced to the Sectional round ( Round 3 ) of the Class 6A postseason playoffs.
