The Latest: Kan. man finds neighbor with critical gunshot wound

SEDGWICK COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating a fatal shooting and need the public’s help with information.


Just before 2:30a.m Tuesday., police responded to a 911 call in the 2400 Block of East Parkmont in Wichita, according to Captain Brent Allred.


At the scene, officers located a 31-year-old man later identified as Robert Junior of Wichita with gunshot wounds. The neighbor who called 911 found the Junior outside the duplex near a driveway. 


EMS transported the Junior to a local hospital in critical condition and he died, according to officer Charley Davidson.


Investigators are working to learn what occurred. Police do not believe this is a random incident or that drugs were involved.
