Geary USD 475 Board of Education member Dave Walker said Monday evening that the construction work for the new Junction City High School project is on schedule. Board member Jim Schmidt also noted that in one aspect the work is slightly ahead of schedule. " They actually just poured 12,000 square feet of our first pad on Tuesday, I believe, before Thanksgiving." Schmidt indicated walls could start to go up sometime in the next two weeks.

Schmidt and Walker updated the Board of Education on the project during their monthly meeting at the Devin Center. The goal is to have the school finished and in use by students by August of 2021.
