

SALINE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect on drug charges after a traffic stop on Interstate 70 early Thursday.
A Saline County deputy stopped an eastbound 2010 Nissan Cube just west of Niles Road on I-70 after noticing the Cube was unable to maintain its lane, according to Sheriff Roger Soldan.
While the deputy was talking with the two people in the Cube, he noticed drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, seven and a half pounds of marijuana, some methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia were found

The driver of the Cube, Angela Browning, 39, of Ashland, Ky., was arrested on suspicion, Possession with intent to distribute marijuana, Possession of drug paraphernalia The passenger in the Cube, James Blankenship, 43, of Lettsburg, Ky., was arrested on suspicion of Possession with intent to distribute marijuana, Possession of drug paraphernalia and Possession of methamphetamine.
