SALINE COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating a residential burglary in Salina and thanks to footprints in the snow, they have identified a suspect.
Sometime between 7:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Monday, someone broke into a residence in the 2600 block of Linda Lane, according to Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester. It is believed that entry was made through an attached garage.
During the investigation, police located footprints in the snow that led to a neighboring house. After talking with residents there, police believe another resident identified as a white male in his 20s, is the person responsible for the burglary.
Items valued at more than $1,800 were reported taken including a Samsung camcorder, a PSE Vision compound bow, a Henry 3030 Yellow Boy brass rifle, Remington 1100 12-gauge shotgun, two PSE Kudu recurve bows, a jar of coins and miscellaneous arrows
During the investigation, police located the compound bow, camcorder, and the jar. Police have not reported an arrest.
