Police arrest Kansas man shortly after armed robbery

SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating an armed robbery and have a suspect in custody.

Just before 10p.m. Saturday, police responded to a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred at the Goose Express convenience store  2901 SE Fremont Street in Topeka, according to Lt. Ron Ekis.

A suspect later identified as 29-year-old Craig  Wilson wearing a black hoodie, red t-shirt, blue jeans and baseball cap entered the store, displayed a gun, and stole an undisclosed amount of money. He left the store westbound foot.

 A short time later, TPD officers located Wilson, in the 2800 block of SE Monroe and placed him under arrest. He is being held on a requested charge for aggravated robbery, according to Ekis.
