The National Weather Service has put a winter storm warning in effect from noon Friday through 6 p.m. Saturday.
The Friday forecast calls for a 90% chance of rain, freezing rain and sleet until late afternoon, then snow, possibly mixed with freezing rain and sleet. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph with ice accumulation of less than one-tenth of an inch possible.
There is an 80% chance for snow Friday evening and patchy blowing snow toward morning. The wind chill values will dip between zero and 10 degrees. Snow accumulation of one to two inches is predicted.
On Saturday the forecast includes a 60% chance for snow in the morning with new accumulation of less than one inch possible. Patchy blowing snow is possible before eight a.m. Wind chill values will be between -3 and 7 degrees.
