Five Kansas teens hospitalized after pickup rolls on muddy road

KINGMAN COUNTY - Five people were injured in an  accident just after 10p.m. Friday in Kingman County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2001  Toyota Tundra driven by Mason Waltner, 18,  Kingman was eastbound on NE 20th three miles northeast of Kingman when he lost control of the vehicle due to the muddy road. The pickup entered the ditch and rolled once.

EMS transported Waltner and passengers Nikolis Lindsey, 18, Kingman and Grant Headrick, 17, Norwich to the Kingman County Hospital.  Lindsey was later transferred to St. Francis in Wichita.

The two other passengers Kara Thimesch, 16 and Delaney Arensdorf, 17, both of Kingman were taken to St. Francis in Wichita.

 Thimesch, Arensdorf and Lindsey were not wearing seat belts, according to the KHP.
