Kansas woman arrested for alleged mail theft, forgery

SHAWNEE COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect for alleged forgery and mail theft after a traffic stop.

Just after 9:30a.m. Monday, a Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office deputy stopped a 1992 Buick in the 3300 block of SE West Edge Road for a tag that did not belong to that vehicle, according to Deputy Abigail Christian.

The driver, Janna L. Marshno, 33, Mayetta, was arrested  for multiple warrants and multiple charges including Felony identity theft out of Shawnee County, Misdemeanor forgery out of Atchison County, Misdemeanor burglary, theft, criminal damage, and forgery out of Doniphan County, Misdemeanor shoplifting out of the city of Topeka

Marshno is also facing charges of driving with an expired driver’s license, forgery, identity theft, mail theft, and possession of methamphetamine. Mail and checks from multiple locations, including Manhattan and Kansas City, were found inside the vehicle.

Marshno is being held in the Shawnee County Department of Corrections.
