K-State Football Coaching Clinic set for April 4

Kansas State football will host their annual coaching clinic at the Vanier Family Football Complex and Bill Snyder Family Stadium on April 4.

This will be open to all high school, community college, NAIA, NCAA Division Two or Three coaches, and well as junior high and youth coaches. The clinic will provide participants an opportunity to observe a Wildcat team practice in addition to breakout sessions and drill demonstrations by the entire coaching staff including head coach Chris Klieman.

Registration is $30 per coach if completed on or before March 25 and $40 per coach thereafter. The clinic will run from approximately 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Wildcats use defense to down Oklahoma

Mike McGuirl scored 16 points and Kansas State held off Oklahoma 61-53.

The Wildcats led by 16 with six minutes to go but the Sooners were within 57-53 when Victor Iwuakor hit a 3-pointer with 10 seconds to play, capping a frantic 13-2 run.

The Wildcats closed out the game with four straight free throws by McGuirl. Kansas State led wire-to-wire, handing the Sooners their fourth lost in their last five five conference games. Alondes Williams scored 15 points for Oklahoma, which was held to its lowest total of the season.
