Nine Junction City Blue Jay wrestlers have qualified for the Class 6A State Wrestling Tournament that is scheduled next Friday and Saturday in Park City, near Wichita. According to Blue Jay Athletics Twitter the wrestlers and their weight classes include:
106- Zach Putrusky
120- Patrick Foxworth
126- Ashton Schreiner
132- Zane Thornton
138- Cameron Beasley
152- CJ Neuman
170- James Hancock
182- Chris Owens
195- Isaiah Zinkan
Zane Thornton went 5-1 to finish third in the 132 pound weight class at Regionals. Fourth place finishes were turned in by Zach Putrusky at 106 pounds, Patrick Foxworth at 120 and Cameron Beasley at 138 pounds.
