HARVEY COUNTY —A teenager from Hesston was detained Tuesday after he is said to have stabbed his father while they were driving.
Just after 4p.m. Tuesday, the 16-year-old was riding in a car with his father from Hesston to Newton when the son is said to have stabbed his father in the shoulder once with a knife, according to a media release.
After the incident, the father pulled the car over and called 911.
The teen's name has not been released. The father's injuries were not life-threatening. The Harvey County Attorney will review the case for charges.
