Kansas deputies arrest felon from Texas after traffic stop

JACKSON COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating two men from Texas after a weekend traffic stop.

Just after 9:30p.m. Saturday a Jackson County Sheriff’s deputy stopped a 2017 Ford passenger car on U.S. 75 north of 118th Road for multiple traffic infractions, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

The driver, Jedidiah B. Hunter, 25, of Dallas, Texas was arrested for driving without a valid driver’s license, felony possession of ecstasy, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and felon in possession of a firearm.

The passenger in the vehicle, Aaron O. Hunter, 28, of Dallas, Texas was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal use of a weapon and felon in possession of a firearm. Both subjects are being held in the Jackson County Jail.
