The Junction City Lady Jay bowling team finished second and the Blue Jay boys bowling team finished fourth in Class 6A State Tournament competition Thursday in Wichita.
For the Lady Jays senior Savannah Adams finished first in the individual competition.
Coach Brad Adams confirmed that Savannah, his daughter, bowled extremely well. "I'm ecstatic. I'm so happy for Savannah. Her 772, not only does that win state, it also sets the all-time state record for girls for a series. I'm happy for her."
For the boys medalists from Junction City included TJ Lindsay who turned in a score of 653 to finish 12th, Jessup Ray a 650 for 13th place, Logan Lindsley with a 639 to finish 16th and Kazerick Smith who finished with a total of 629 for 20th place.
It was a successful state tournament for Junction City.
