SHAWNEE COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating a vehicle theft in Shawnee County.
Just after 7 a.m. Friday, the Shawnee County EmergencyCommunications Center received a call regarding a motor vehicle in the water near the south boat ramp at Lake Shawnee, according to Deputy Abigail Christian.
The white 2008 Ford Econoline E250 van was stolen from the 2800 block of SE Adams Street Thursday night. The van was removed from the lake and returned to the owner.
Authorities have not reported an arrest.
The Shawnee Heights Fire District and Mission Township Fire Department assisted with this incident.
