
JACKSON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspects on multiple charges after a weekend traffic stop.
Just after 11p.m. Saturday, a sheriff’s deputy stopped a 2005 Infiniti for an alleged equipment violation near 134th and U.S. Highway 75, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

Deputies arrested the driver, Ryan Michael Fidler, 36, of Topeka for driving while revoked and driving while a habitual violator. He has previous convictions for arson, forgery and theft, according to the Kansas Department of Corrections.
The passenger, Samantha Louise Townsend, 36, of Topeka was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were booked into the Jackson County Jail.
