Marketing & Development Coordinator Kay Quinn has provided notification that the Smoky Hill River Festival 2020, scheduled for Thurs-Sunday, June 11-14 in Salina has been cancelled, due to rising national concerns about Coronavirus (COVID 19).
Please know that each aspect of River Festival planning was considered in making this decision. Balancing lost income for the many Festival artists, performers, and food and infrastructure vendors (tents, port-a-potties, etc, with the City expenses that can still be recovered, has been challenging. Being certain now instead of delaying any longer seemed best for all, in the face of many changes.
