SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a 17-year Kansas felon on new charges after an arrest.

Just after 12 a.m. Thursday, a Wichita Police SWAT team executed a search warrant at a home in the 3900 block of West 31st Street South in Wichita, according to officer Charley Davidson.

The search warrant was in reference to an ongoing investigation of the 17-year-old living at the home posting photos with guns and drugs on social media.

The investigation had revealed the 17-year-old was previously convicted of felony charges.

Upon the execution of the search warrant, the 17-year-old refused to exit the home.  A police K9 unit assisted on the warrant, and the teen was arrested with the assistance of the K9.  He was transported to an area hospital and treated for minor injuries from a dog bite.

Inside the home, officers recovered multiple handguns, a rifle, gun parts, gun magazines, ammunition, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and cash.
