RENO COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident during a chase by law enforcement just after 2a.m. Friday in Reno County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Pontiac G6 driven by Gabriel S. Mackay, 19, Tulsa, was southbound on Kansas 61 being pursued by Reno Co Sheriff's Office.
The car struck stop sticks deployed in the roadway, veered off the roadway into the ditch, struck a guy wire for a utility pole and overturned.
EMS transported Mackay to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
Authorities have not released details on what prompted the chase.
