MIAMI COUNTY — A 3-year-old died in an accident just before 11a.m. Wednesday in Miami County, Kansas.
A 2019 GMC delivery box truck occupied by an adult male driver was backing out of a driveway in the 39000 Block of West 28th Street in rural Paola, according to Miami County Sheriff's Captain Matthew Kelly.
The truck hit the girl. She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Kelly.
Authorities with the Miami County Sheriff's Department, the Johnson County Sheriff's Department and the KHP are investigation the accident. Authorities released no additional details.
