Sheriff works to ID suspect for Kansas protest march violence

SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities continue to assess damage reports after a clash with protesters in Topeka Monday night.

The Shawnee County Sheriff's Office is attempting to identify the suspect responsible for criminal damage to a Sheriff's Office patrol vehicle during the protest at the Law Enforcement Center, 320, Kansas Avenue in Topeka, according to Deputy Shayna Anderson.

Police arrested at least five people during the violent protest, according to Topeka police department spokesperson Gretchen Koenen.
