The Junction City Arts Council will begin work on a new mural project later this month. Arts council spokesperson Sally Jardine said Dr. Bob Palmer of Bethany, Oklahoma will arrive Sunday, June 21st with an assistant to begin plotting out the mural that evening. The project should take three to four days.
The mural on the south wall of the Little Theater Annex Building will be a tribute to the decades of entertainment they have provided for Junction City. The plan is to have a stage painted front and center, among the other motifs, so people can stand on the sidewalk and take selfies.
The mural is being presented to the Little Theater by the Arts Council. It is funded by a combination of grants.
