
JACKSON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas woman on drug charges after a weekend traffic stop.
Just after 9:30 p.m. Saturday, a Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a Pontiac Aztec that had been traveling northbound on U.S. 75 just south of the City of Holton for a traffic infraction, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.
During the investigation of the traffic stop, the driver, Alisa Marie Sharpe, 36, of Topeka was subsequently arrested for allegedly being in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, no driver’s license, and no insurance. Sharpe also had an outstanding Jackson County District Court warrant for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Sharpe was transported to and booked into the Jackson County Jail, according to Morse.
