
SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities investigating a fatal shooting have made a second arrest.
On April 24, the Shawnee County Emergency Communications Center began receiving multiple calls about a possible shooting in the 1200 block of NE Quincy Street in Topeka, according to police spokesperson Gretchen Koenen.
At the scene officers located an adult male victim identified as Joseph Hill, 26, of Topeka outside a residence in the area suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police asked community members in the area to review their home security camera footage to assist with their investigation and identified two suspects.
On Monday, police located Michael D. Flores, 25, Topeka. Flores was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of Involuntary Manslaughter and Aiding and Abetting a Battery, according to Koenen.

On May 14, with the assistance of US Marshalls a suspect identified as Vincent Dean Gonzalez-Rook, 22, Topeka was located and taken into custody in California, according to Shawnee County District Attorney Mike Kagay.
Gonzalez-Rook is being held for Murder in the First Degree, Premeditated and Criminal Possession of a Firearm.
