WALLACE COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 1:30p.m. Tuesday in Wallace County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2014 Jeep Wrangler driven by Jenny L McClelland, 32, Colby, was eastbound on U.S. 40 seven miles east of Kansas 27.
The strong winds blew a westbound bumper-pull camper being transported behind a 2018 Chevy Silverado driven by Cory J. Chick, 40, Durango, Colorado, onto the Jeep, according to Trooper Tod Hileman.
McClelland was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported Bateman Funeral Home. Chick, an adult and 2 children in the Silverado were not injured.
McClelland was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.

The Jeep came to a rest in a pasture on the north side of roadway.
McClelland was pronounced dead at the scene and transported Bateman Funeral Home. Chick, an adult and 2 children in the Silverado were not injured. McClelland was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
