KCPD: 2 adults, 2 children hospitalized after shooting

KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a shooting involving multiple victims in Kansas City. Missouri.

Just after 9p.m. Saturday, patrol officers were dispatched to the 3400 block of Park on a reported Shotspotter call for service, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino.. While in route the call was updated to a shooting. 

As officers arrived they were directed to a residence on Park where they located an adult female victim, and a juvenile male victim (under 5) suffering from gunshot wounds.  Officers began rendering aid and KCFD paramedics responded to the scene. 

While on scene an additional juvenile female victim was located near a different residence on Park with a gunshot wound. An additional adult male victim arrived at a local hospital via private conveyance, also suffering from a gunshot wound. 

In total four victims were located. All victims are at local hospitals in stable condition. This is being investigated as an aggravated assault and no one is in custody at this point. 

An extensive crime scene was located, spanning several blocks. Detectives are working to determine the circumstances that led up to the shooting. Investigators are on scene canvassing for witnesses, physical evidence, and any available surveillance footage.
