Police ID victim, question suspects after Kan. motel death

SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities continue their investigation of a suspicious deaths in Topeka.

Just before 10:30p.m. Friday, police responded to a report of a possible shooting at a motel in the 3800 block of SW Topeka Boulevard, according to Lt. John Trimble.

At the scene, police found  victim as Peace A. Goodman, 25, with life-threatening injuries. It is unclear at this point what caused the injuries, but that victim died on scene shortly after officers arrived. Police brought several individuals to the Law Enforcement Center for questioning, according to Trimble.

Police have not released the cause of Goodman’s death or reported an arrest.
