SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect for multiple allegations after a brief standoff.
Just after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, officers were attempting to locate a suspect wanted in connection with several person felonies at an address in the 2200 block of SW Plass Avenue in Topeka, according to Lt. Donna Eubanks.
The suspect identified as 22-year-old Logan M. Cunningham came outside armed with a handgun. He then retreated inside the home while officers called for additional resources. Cunningham briefly barricaded himself inside the home, but he voluntarily came outside just after 10:15 a.m. and was taken into custody.
Officers transported him to the Law Enforcement Center for questioning from the Criminal Investigations Bureau.
As a result of the investigation Cunningham was arrested on requested charges of Aggravated Assault, Battery, Interference with law enforcement officer, Domestic battery, Aggravated domestic battery, and Kidnapping.
