SEDGWICK COUNTY —A Kansas man died from injuries in an accident that occurred just after 6p.m. Wednesday in Sedgwick County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Jay Alan Markwell, 62, Wichita, was westbound on the exit ramp from U.S 54 westbound to Interstate 235 northbound.
The driver was traveling too fast to negotiate the curve and struck the barrier wall crash dampener
EMS transported Markwell to a local hospital. He was pronounced deceased just before 11p.m. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
