
SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement investigating an injury accident and after asking the public for help have located and arrested 20-year-old Aubriana Wilburn of Wichita.
Just before 1p.m. on June 22, officers responded to an injury accident in the 1600 block of South Glendale in Wichita, according to Davidson.
At the scene, officers contacted a 33-year-old male victim with serious injures. He was transported to an area hospital for medical treatmentand remains hospitalized.
An investigation revealed Wilburn was driving a 2003 Ford Focus and was backing out of a parking stall at a business at Harry and Oliver in Wichita. The victim was walking through the parking lot of the business and was almost struck by the vehicle.
A disturbance then ensued between the victim, Wilburn and a passenger inside of the Focus.
During the disturbance, Wilburn intentionally drove the car toward the victim, striking him, and dragging him approximately 1 ½ blocks, before fleeing from the scene.
Investigators learned of Wilburn's involvement through the investigation.
Wilburn is being held on requested charges of attempted murder, aggravated battery, and an outstanding warrant, according to officer Davidson. She was to make a first court appearance Thursday, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's office.
