Local leaders look ahead to AUSA convention

Junction City will have a presence at the national Association of the United States Army convention in Washington D.C. this year but it will be different than in some recent years. In 2020 the convention was held virtually due to COVID-19, but the two years prior to that Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a reception for businesses.

Mickey Fornaro-Dean, Chamber Economic Development Director, said this year they will return to personal meetings. "Maybe invite a company or two to dinner with our leadership, just kind ease back into it rather than a big reception our first year back.

The AUSA convention is held in Washington D.C. in October. Traditionally a number of community leaders from Junction City do attend the event.
