When officers arrived on scene, they immediately canvassed the area for victims. The responding officers determined the shooting occurred in the parking lot of a nearby business. A private vehicle transported three victims to a local hospital suffering from gunshot trauma believed to be related to this incident.

One adult male and one adult female victim were both suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot injuries. An additional victim, later identified as 34-year-old  Zavion N. Horn was also transported by private vehicle to the hospital suffering from gunshot wounds. Horn was  pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Preliminary investigation indicates that an interaction took place between an adult male suspect and a victim in the parking lot of a nearby business. That interaction escalated to gunfire and subsequently resulted in three individuals being struck. The suspect left the area on foot in an unknown direction. Police released no additional details.
