
KANSAS CITY—Officials are investigating the cause of a house fire in Kansas City, Missouri,
Just before 5a.m. Saturday, the Kansas City Fire Department responded to a reported house fire in the 500 block of Booth, according to Battalion Chief Michael Hopkins.

Crews reported smoke and fire showing from a single-story home. Initially it was not clear if the home was vacant or occupied. Interior operations were initiated using multiple hand lines. Crews encountered heavy fire in the basement of the structure that burned through to the first floor. Searches of the structure came back all clear. No injuries were reported at this incident.
