Kan. woman came to visit inmate and was arrested on drug allegations

 JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO) – Law enforcement are investigating a suspect on multiple drug allegations.

Just after 6p.m. April 4, Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a free air sniff with a K-9 around a Chrysler Sebring that was parked in the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Jail parking lot, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

The K-9 alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics. Deputies seized illegal drug contraband from the vehicle. The registered owner of the vehicle, Lisa Ann Guffey, 61, of Holton, who came to the jail for visitation purposes, was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail on requested charges that include possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
