COWLEY COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating vandalism of a political sign in Cowley County and have made an arrest of a teen suspect identified as Garrett Bogle, 19, of Cowley County on requested charges of criminal damage to property, according to the activity report from sheriff's department.
On August 16, deputies responded to the 25,000 block of U.S. 77 Highway north of Arkansas City for a report of Criminal Damage to Property to a billboard sign, according to Cowley County Undersheriff Christina McDonald.
Vandals spread blue paint on the billboard that featured the political slogan MAGA in red and white. Vandals also used yellow spray paint to write "BLM and the word Resist."
There were several tips and leads generated in this case and deputies reported late Tuesday they made an arrest.
